FUBAR

  1. When coming up with this workout, the idea was that no matter how many time the double unders were broken per set, only one (5) rep penaly would occur each round. Since Worlock and his double blunders caused a much severe penaly, I thought I would go along. After all, I am decent at double unders. Warming up I had no problem stringing together 30+. I thought that at worst I might break the 50 once or twice, and the 40 and 30 maybe once, so 20 SCT is right where I thought the work should be anyway. After breaking 50, 40, and 30 twice each I was feeling the affects of the weight. I broke the first Farmer Carry to preserve my shoulders and forearms. Going into the last farmer carry I was at the 20 minute mark and feeling like the worst was over. 20 double unders (actually 21) done with no problem and a 2+ minute 400 still left me feeling good. The mighty jump rope then reached out and tripped me after only 3 doubles and 2 failed SQT attempts left me lying on my back. Some 14 minutes later I was done and left the gym with my head town and tail between my legs. Brutal ego killer. Brutal body killer with that many SQT at that weight for me. What a way to start the day. Happy Fathers Day to the dads, and Happy late Birthday to Clint.
