"Be Prepared."
No matter what you decide to do today, remember this:
Tomorrow is the beginning of a new week. A new week of walking the path towards self knowledge and self improvement. A path filled with unknowns, pain, and most importantly... Hard Work.
Here's where the choice comes in....
You either walk the path with commitment and intensity, getting one step closer to your goals each day. You can't wait for that feeling of anxiety before the next "workout". Improvement becomes second nature.
OR...
You walk blindly, without resolve, going thru the motions with an uncanny feeling of deja vu. This feeling is similar to one of comfort and is fed by the familiarity of your lack of effort. Your stagnant and don't even know it.
Be Prepared.
We all have a choice to make.
Just because we are all walking the path together, and the outcomes may appear to be the same; they most certainly are not. Remember, it's all up to you.
The "Rest" Option -
If you've been putting your time in, and your body needs it, take today and rest.
The "Day One" Option -
On the other hand, if you feel rested, or if it's been 10 days since you did anything noteworthy, here's one idea that might satisfy the addiction:
"Only One Tool"
4 rounds for time of:
20 Snatch @ 16kg KB (10 each arm)
20 Situps
20 Goblet Squats @ 16kg KB
20 Pushups
20 Swings @ 16kg KB
400m Run
Post any activity and time to comments
"Only One Tool" should be fun with as much rain as we got here last night. The perfect conditinons: hot, wet, humid, and dirty. Sounds like a "The Shop" workout to me.
ReplyDeleteAs Bruce recently said...
"I'm back from vacation, and ready to hit it hard. Let the detox begin..."
Looking forward to suffering with everyone tomorrow. It's been too long.

ReplyDeleteNot very fast.
I gave it all I had today, and it felt like "day one" all over again.
I've got a lot of work to do if I want to be competitive at the Paper Shop Games in less than two weeks.
Did a modified version. 4 rounds of everything without the 400m run. At the end of the 4 rounds jogged 5k. Fun workout. First time I used the 35lb kb as I usually use a 20lb kb. Snatches really slowed me down at the new weight, but I need to move up.
