Complete 5 - 10 "Monsters"
At some point, record your attempt to reach the summit AS FAST AS YOU CAN.
One "Monster" is from the sidewalk at the bottom to the street at the top. The sidewalk can be seen just on the other side of the tree in a couple of the photos.
There's a hill here locally that is known to us at The Shop as "The Monster". It's the most popular sledding spot when the snow falls but were not sledding down it, we're running UP it.
It takes a minute or longer to reach the top and it takes the walk back down to recover. Should be a fun.
Hoping to get some video of this. The photos don't quite give you the sense of scale and therefore, only tell half the story.
Once your done, post your thoughts on this little hill, the workout, and your "reps" / time to comments.
Elliptical Interval
ReplyDelete2 min easy 2 min hard 15 rounds
773 calories burned
5.77 miles.
Looks like this might take your breathe away?
ReplyDeleteAre you planning on Timing the Intervals? Just an idea from my college soccer training. We used to run 120yd sprints, 30 seconds up 60 seconds back repeat 10 times. It was killer, since this is a hill the time would most likely need to increase, plus I don't know the distance. Just another idea in case you needed one.
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap!
ReplyDeleteThat thing is hard!
6 "reps" 2-3 minutes rest at the bottom
Fastest summit - 0:46
still trying to catch my breathe. 5 reps fastest 1 min
ReplyDeletethe pictures do not do it ANY justice!!!!!
ReplyDeletethat was the worst leg and ass burn that I have ever had.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see vid/pics!
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to what you think the distance is from start to finish on the Monster? Just curious.

ReplyDeleteGive or take a little
We should have measured it
That does sound like a tough run, look like it in the video as well. Thanks for the info.
