Get outside and go "Hunting"

No matter how much time we spend training each week if it's all done indoors it always seems like something is still missing.

I believe there's a part of the human spirit that needs a connection with nature and in today's modern society extra effort has to be made to satisfy that need.

It doesn't seem to present itself the same way as it did for our ancient ancestors. They spent hours and sometimes days doing extended intervals, hunting their next meal with spears and other primitive hunting tools. Our definition of "hunting tools" are cell phones to call for pizza delivery and an SUV to hunt down the next drive thru.

So for today get outside, be active, and hunt for a connection to nature. Who knows, maybe you'll fulfill a need you didn't even know you had.

Post outdoor activity and time to comments

  1. jog 1/2 mile @ easy pace to the church hill

8 x on the minute every minute hill sprints from base

20 x 20m sprint + hill on the minute every minute

a good workout but next time less rest per round or more of a longer sprint distance before reaching the hill
