Still looking for the under 20 min time, but today I was dead after 7 min and I am feeling pretty good that I stuck with it and finished. I heard "the voice" pushing me.

  6. Clint,

I am 6 feet and .5 inches I take every inch I can get :)

The bf monitor has half inches on it so I figure I put in my real height.

  7. I was lucky enough to be trained by Jon Gilson (the author), and he was not afraid to get in people's grills. That essay is not just lip service. He was a GREAT coach.

  8. I agree Bruce.

While I did not have the privilege of being trained by that author as you did, playing soccer throughout high school and especially college, I had a coach that would be yelling non-stop. There were some rough drills that we ran, some of them hard enough to invoke the same kind of pain as some of these crossfit workouts. The coach was always there, forcing us to give more. Even though it is easy to build a genuine disdain for that person, when I look at it from the outside, as well as in hindsight, the fitness level I was at in that point of my life was the best I have ever been. My biggest goal through these workouts is just to strive to come close to that again.
