Into the wild is an awesome movie, reminds me of my brother a little too much though.
ReplyDeleteWarmup:
elliptical 24 minutes, 2.15 miles 200 calories
work
barbell complex - pushups + overhead squats + burpee pullups
45, 55, 65, 75, 85
that was harder than I remember.
That modified version of the bb complex should almost be the standard. Nice work Patrick.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
ReplyDeleteI will be doing a barbell complex challenge with the modified version in the coming weeks, I am sure the score will be lower than the regular one, but it should be fun, and a great way to get better at the OHS, for me at least.

ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is skip the movie and read the book. Jon Krakauer is an amazing writer. He has a new one out about Pat Tillman, the NFL player who gave up his football career to join the military. It's called Where Men Win Glory.
ReplyDeleteBruce - Becca would agree with you. She read the book and then watched the movie, and said the movie doesn't make as much sense and it definately doesn't give you near the insight and understanding from Christopher and those he met on his journey. I have the book, but have yet to read it. I plan on reading the new one about Tillman first. He is as courageous and patriotic as they come, and it is unfortunate how things turned out for him. I will give a review when I am done.
ReplyDelete3.3 mi trail, cedar crest loop, reverse, 32 min. Not. Very fast time, but I felt my pace and finish was better than normal. First time I have timed it in that direction. Served it's purpose; got me outside.
